EducationalCentre Taurus (Poland) organizes courses and seminars for adults in traditional way- at the course’s place and by the Internet. Thanks to courses that are done by using ICT technology listeners from disadvantaged for socio-economic, geographic or other reasons take part in them. Among our listeners the big group is teachers who live in small towns or villages which are too far to take part in traditional courses and also traditional courses are more expensive because of costs of transport so our courses are favorable alternatives. The form that we use is also possible for taking part in them by disable and elder people. Doing courses on-line enables a wide group of people from the whole country to take part in them. Our courses are for all adult people. Mostly our listeners are teachers and parents.

Denizli Public Education and Evening Art School (Turkey) is a public educational centre for adults. It holds regular courses and seminars for adults. It also exhibits the works to people at the end of year. The Centre has already taken part in the project in 2005/2006and has also held planned courses about HIV/AIDS prevention. The centre is in the middle of the city but the learners who attend to courses generally join from suburb areas of Denizli. The great attention in most aspects is paid to the courses by the government. Our institution goes into cooperation with some organisations and schools for some kind of activities.

4PEOPLE Civic Association (Czech Republic) was set in order to strengthen the formation of a civil society, especially by supporting of activities pointing the improvement of socially excluded people's situation at the labour market and by educational activities oriented to them. The target group as well as the main idea of the “Open the window on the World” project is interesting for us, because our association is working in this field of interest through our both general activities and also national projects coordinating. Thanks to these national projects (and its partnerships)financed by European structural funds we dispose of wide contact portfolio, which we could use within research activities in the project. Thanks to our project efforts and other activities we do not lack the direct personal contact with members of target group, which is in our opinion very useful and enriching. Of course we are ready to participate the project actively by means of necessary contributing to the project development from the side ofthe Czech environment and best practices. As written above, projects realization gave us some useful experiences in working with the project target group, which we would like to share, and more to multiply them by participation at European partnership level. The variation between education approach in each country differentiate, and experiences and empirical findings from other European countries could be effective for further common strategies development. Moreover, target group of the project is consistent with EU priorities within the educational and social strategies, as well as in conformity with employment and educational and training strategies of the Czech Republic.

Cooperativa Agorà a.r.l (Italy). Since its foundation Cooperativa Agorà has been working actively in its territory and it has been helping in depth people at risk of social exclusion, particularly elderly people and immigrant women. To this extent, over the past few years Agorà has planned and organized computer courses for elderly people, who had a specific need of training and socialization. Nowadays not only young people but also many seniors wish to improve their competences and skills through the use of computers and technological tools. Actually a proper use of the computer is more and more useful not only in the labour market but also in everyday life. In our area plenty of pensioners are used to living alone and have few opportunities of getting in touch with other people. Our activity might prevent social exclusion and isolation, create networks and a sense of community through basic IT e C training.
